YOu got a cool lil idea?
Here are some of the funnest and most special projects I have had the honor of bringing to life. It all started with the concept of the Kid Collab but then got pushed into new and amazing ideas. As it turns out I can carve and print almost anything and it is a great way to personalize people, places, and things that mean something to you.
Trout Lake, Ontario, Canada
A lovely lady made her way into my printshop wanting to give a gift to a special friend. She found a topographical image of this lake (then made SURE it was right) then found the coordinates of the tiny island (2) that the family watches the sunset on. This was a great team project and the gift that she gave to this family will last a lifetime.
I have done all the thinking here and made this project easy!
All you need to do is provide a large, high resolution photo of the subject of your love and adoration. I will do the rest. If it is a dog, a small lake in the middle of Canada, a tattoo you got to commemorate your father, that is all I need.
This is what you get:
A minimum of 3 color reduction block print (max of 5)
An image carved from a 7” X 5” linoleum block
Five signed and editioned prints
One framed + 4 packaged and sleeved
Printed on Neenah Fluorescent White 110# paper
Keep the lino block
Progress photos of the entire process
Stella, Golden-doodle, St. Cloud
A very smart fellow pulled me aside after the Shop Small Crawl and asked if I ever do pet portraits, I said I had not but I would love to. He sent me oodles of doodle pics and I chose the best view- set her name and the year in type and set off to do a five color reduction. Sent him photos as I went, then packaged them up and had to WAIT until Christmas to hear, they LOVED it!
Such a sweet story
This story is not mine to tell but it hits all the feelers. We took a picture of a tattoo and made it into a piece that the whole family could share.
