This reduction block print is hand carved from a single linoleum block a total of eight times. I transfer the initial image, which is a beautiful photograph done be local photographer Ryan James Unger from the winter of 2020 in Quarry Park. I carved and printed this block eight times to capture the delicate loveliness of a beautiful sassy bird.
The frame was beautifully crafted using reclaimed wood from old church pews from St. Paul, Minnesota by fellow printmaker Stanley Leonard. This print is framed to perfection with a gorgeous inlay and matte.
