Our communications and marketing team enjoyed a private print party at Bruno Press where we experienced the craft of classic letterpress printing and got some lessons in loving your career at the same time. Under Mary’s careful and colorful guidance, we typeset custom team posters and took turns printing copies on a classic, carefully preserved, century-old letterpress. Mary had our team laughing and learning the whole time – she’s just the right blend of educator and entertainer!
Bruno Press is also an impressive working print shop. The artistry that goes into each handcrafted, printed project was impressive and seeing the equipment in action gave our team a whole new sense of respect for that era, and for the artistry and artwork still crafted by Mary and her team at Bruno Press today. The whole class and professor showed up for an evening of creating personalized prints in which we got to create our own carved linoleum blocks. We had a blast hangin’ in the shop and learning from Mary, she talked about the origin of her business - all the way through the inception of the greeting card line to many of her current projects. It was refreshing to get out of the classroom and learn from a community leader and business owner.
