I travelled out to Pile of Bricks—a massive letterpress print shop in Detriot, Michigan—run by my BFF and print mentor, Amos Paul Kennedy Jr. I figured with access to his incredible wood type, all of his presses, and Amos's hardcore poster energy, I best make somethin’ cool.
With all the shit going on in Minnesota, the brutality of ICE is always on my mind. I saw a really clever protest poster on the street of St. Joseph and I asked the holder, Lemwa, if I could take her poster idea to the press and she was stoked! The play on words, the HUGE wood type, and the simplicity of urging folks to stand up for our neighbors and to get mad and get involved. I AM PROUD OF YOU MINNESOTA! Keep fighting the good fight.

When I got back to MN, you guys loved that poster so much that we completely SOLD OUT!
Being back home and without access to Amos’ woodtype, I knew what I had to do. I carved the whole poster out of linoleum, got back to the press, and reprinted. I love this poster; with the play on words and the simplicity of urging folks to stand up for our neighbors, get mad, and get involved. I AM PROUD OF YOU MINNESOTA! Keep fighting the good fight.
