A Place to Call Home
A little art. A lot of heart. And a whole bunch of carving.
When the three Sand Sisters approached Bruno Press about creating artwork for Vue Point, they had something bigger in mind than simply decorating the walls.
They wanted art that told stories. Art that celebrated the people who live here, the community around us, and all the little things that turn a building into a home.
So we got to work.
Together, we dreamed up a collection of images celebrating nature, neighborhood, friendship, culture, connection, and belonging. Each one tells its own story, but together they tell a much bigger one.
Because home isn't just a place. It's what we create together.

Reduction printing is all about figuring out the colors and where the highlights and shadows live. Seeing in layers is the name of the game. Every print started with a drawing that was transferred onto a linoleum block, then the entire outline of the image was carved to create the “key block”. From there I print out the key block and either paint it or use colored pencils to figure out how many actual layers there will be. Then I determine what colors can layer on top of each other and what colors need to be seperated. I transfer the key block onto as many other linoblocks as I need and begin to print and layer the colors until I feel as though the image is
